The American Academy of Ophthalmology has urged patients to limit use of contact lenses.  Spectacles can also add protection against the aerosolized coronavirus.
Conjunctivitis or pink eye is a very rare symptom of Coronavirus.  The peer review literature states an incidence of only 1-3% in patients with confirmed cases of COVID - 19.  Most cases of "pink eye" this time of year are either allergy related or caused by a common cold virus.
